Is India as secular as the Constitution claims???

We have walked through time and crossed 61 years of Independence and 58 years of a republic nation. But still, the atrocities committed against the Christians in Orissa speaks of the double faced Indians we have become. It is a pity.A great pity, especially, because the political parties are behind all that's happening. What I can't understand is: How can we Indians tolerate such contamination of our secular Indian faith by letting these political parties as Bajrang Dal & VHP exist? It's not a question of which faith we belong to.It is a question of raising our voices to help our suffering siblings. It is a question of fight for our human rights.Just imagine, if the Hindus would meet the same fate in US or Canada which are all Christian nations. Let us help bring about a sense of peace, acceptance, tolerance and respect for each individual & each religion.

Yes we have become so complacent that we dont realise until sumthing actually happens to us too. Do you know so many ppl in Kolkata dont even know that something is going on in Orissa leave alone the magnitude of the violence. Our main efort should be to spread the message across the Indian sub-continent. The mainstream media wont do anything to let the people be known of the atrocities against human rights. "Preach to all nations" remember!! So lets do that.
